We are committed to keeping our families, staff, and community informed following the closure of Yerwood Center for asbestos remediation. The health and safety of our youth, staff, and community remain our highest priority. We continue to work closely with the City of Stamford and Stamford Public Schools to ensure safe, stable arrangements for families during this period.
Updated Schedule and Program Locations
February 9–11: The Mary C. Rich Clubhouse and Gary Wendt Teen Center (347 Stillwater Avenue) will continue to serve all youth in grades K–12.
February 12–16: The Club will be closed as previously scheduled for staff training.
Beginning Tuesday, February 17:

Grades K–3 Yerwood Center students will be transported directly from school to Cloonan Middle School (11 W North St, Stamford), where the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford will operate afterschool programming until further notice. Pickup for K–3 will be at Cloonan Middle School.

Grades 4–12 students will continue to be served at 347 Stillwater Avenue.

We understand these changes may place a burden on families and cause disruption to daily routines. Thank you for your flexibility, patience, and partnership as we work to maintain safe and consistent programming for all youth. We will continue to share updates here as additional information becomes available, including remediation progress and future program locations.
