This school year, BGCS launched the Snack Shack: a teen-led small business initiative managed by AmeriCorps VISTA member Mohim Zaman. Every afternoon, members of the Keystone Club, Torch Club, and Dazzling Barettes Dance Team take charge of stocking shelves, tracking inventory, and selling snacks to Club members and staff. Teens rotate through shifts, handle budgeting, and even use SQUARE to manage sales and forecast revenue, gaining hands-on experience with modern business tools used in commerce. The funds raised will support field trips, competitions, and other Club activities. Thank you to Moh for leading this effort and teaching teens about entrepreneurship, teamwork, and financial responsibility.
