The Boys & Girls Club of Stamford proudly participated in the inaugural Stamford CoCreate Winter Village, a one-of-a-kind event that highlighted design, culinary arts, and youth-led maker demonstrations. The club’s involvement brought forth a showcase of creativity, culminating in a student presentation and Q&A with Stamford CoCreate event attendees.
Prior to the event, Briarwood Candles invited a group of Club kids to participate in a candle-making workshop. The students chose wax colors, blended delightful scents, and added personalized vinyl graphics (that they created using a circuit cutter) to adorn their creations. Their candles were displayed at a dedicated Boys & Girls Club showcase, where the students had the opportunity to share their creations and maker experiences with other attendees.
