The 19th Annual RFR 5K Run Walk held Thursday, May 17, in downtown Stamford raised over $150,000 for The Boys and Girls Club of Stamford. This incredibly popular event had more than 2,100 runners participating this year…and has raised more than 1.3 million dollars for the Boys & Girls Club since its inception. Last year the RFR Run raised a net profit of $142,000 for The Club’s Boys & Girls Programs with 1,800 runners.

20 boys and girls of the Boys & Girls Club were trained to run in the Race by Fred Smith of Greenwich Academy. Club sponsors paid for new running shoes for each of the children who participated.
